Bringing up BOYS: Mother’s perspective about the agonies and ecstasies of raising sons

Category:

The first question I was asked when I revealed the title of my book, why Bringing up boys…why not raising Children? My answer was that children cannot be classified as one. Girls and boys need different ways of bringing up. Some things are the same like nutritious food… structured routine…similar disciplined timings for studies and play…equal participation in daily chores like cleaning their room and keeping their cupboard and study table clean, Often, boys are allowed to stay out longer with minimum curfew while girls are allowed only restricted timings. While there is a valid reason for this, boys need to be also restrained from erratic timings so they don’t get into unhealthy activities. I hope I am justified in sharing my experience in bringing up boys.
I have divided the book into four parts…

  • Part one is general observations about Mothers and Fathers
  • Part two is my entry into Motherhood
  • Part three is dedicated to my sons
  • Part four is about other mothers with a tale of their boys

You can read the parts that interest you without losing out on the essence of this book!
